Media giant SONY has been including files on its SONY BMG Music CDs that install hidden files on PCs used to play them. People are not pleased. Lots of people are not pleased. Head on over to this link-rich PC World staff blog to feel the fiery backdraft, as recorded in the comments.

Update: 7:50 p.m. - Sea of Noise has an interesting post about the DRM copy protection files employed by SONY, which have provided World of Warcraft players with an opportunity to game Blizzard's anti-cheating software. Go figure.
